  On 18 September 2024, the Constitutional Tribunal considered the application filed by the President of the Republic of Poland with regard to the Act of 13 July 2023 amending the Act on export insurance options guaranteed by the State Treasury as well as certain other acts.

  On 20 August 2024 the Constitutional Tribunal considered the application by a group of Sejm Deputies with regard to a preliminary application for holding the President of the National Bank of Poland accountable before the Tribunal of State.

  On 27 February 2024, the Constitutional Tribunal delivered its ruling on Mr R.M.’s constitutional complaint regarding the costs of unpaid legal representation provided by a court-appointed advocate

• K 29/23, Public radio and television broadcasters – the applicability of provisions permitting: the liquidation of joint-stock companies; and the recall or suspension of a management board member by the general assembly of shareholders

  On 16 and 18 January 2024, the Constitutional Tribunal considered the application lodged by a group of Sejm Deputies which pertained to the applicability, to public radio and television broadcasters, the provisions permitting the liquidation of joint-stock companies and the provisions permitting the recall, or suspension in his/her duties, of a management board member by the general assembly of shareholders.

  On 22 February, 19 October, 21 November and 11 December 2023, the Constitutional Tribunal considered the Public Prosecutor-General’s application concerning a (periodic) penalty payment or a lump-sum payment imposed by the CJEU as well as interim measures pertaining to the constitutional order and to the functioning of the constitutional authorities of the Republic of Poland.

  On 15 November 2023 at 10.00, the Constitutional Tribunal considered the question of law, referred by the Circuit Court in Elbląg (4th Division – Labour and Social Insurance), as regards the lack of the possibility of determining anew the amount of an old-age pension, based on the quarterly indexation formula for old-age pension insurance premiums and the initial capital, with respect to persons who applied for an old-age pension before 1 June 2021.

  On 8 November 2023, the Constitutional Tribunal considered joined applications filed by the First President of the Supreme Court, the President of the Supreme Administrative Court, and the National Council of the Judiciary with regard to rules for determining the remuneration base for calculating judges’ remuneration in 2023.

  On 4 October 2023, at a sitting in camera, the Constitutional Tribunal considered the constitutional complaint pertaining to the amount of legal representation costs which are to be reimbursed to the party.

  On 26 September 2023, the Constitutional Tribunal publicly delivered its ruling issued with regard to the constitutional complaint of a limited liability company under Polish law which pertained to the existence and scope of damage caused by the issuance of an unlawful final ruling and the court’s jurisdiction to adjudicate in the above case.

• SK 14/21, The legal definition of ‘structure’ in the context of the property tax

  On 4 July 2023 at noon, the Constitutional Tribunal delivered its judgment concerning the constitutional complaint filed by Zakłady Tłuszczowe „Kruszwica” S.A. (the company is currently operating under the name of ‘Bunge Polska sp. z o.o.’) with regard to the legal definition of ‘structure’ in the context of the property tax.
